History

Founded in 1928, the club spent the majority of its history into semi-professional and regional levels of the Italian Football. In the seasons 1984-85,[1] 1985-86[2] and 2003-04,[3][4] Isernia played in Serie C2 (currently Lega Pro Seconda Divisione), the 4th Italian professional football level.

Failed in 2004, it was refounded in 2005 as A.S.D. Isernia Pentra Sport. In 2009, after the merger of Real Rocca d'Evandro and A.S. Sporting Aesernia the club was refounded as Real Isernia. First classified in 2010-2011 Eccellenza Molise,[5], it will play the 2011-2012 season in Serie D with the current denomination.
